Peaceful Protest Regarding Gaza is Under Attack

Mr. GREEN of Texas. Mr. Speaker, and still I rise, and for this one moment, I have a very terse and laconic message. For this one moment I would simply say: If you cannot peacefully protest the genocide that took place in Gaza, if you cannot peacefully protest this, what can you peacefully protest under the Constitution of the United States of America?

I voted against this effort to prevent people from peacefully protesting what they see as an injustice.

What took place in Gaza was collective punishment. It was ethnic cleansing, and it was genocide. In this country, the Constitution allows one to peacefully protest such injustices.
