Mr. KILEY of California. Mr. Speaker, as a cosponsor of H.R. 3104, the Ukrainian Adjustment Act, I am calling for prompt consideration and passage of this important legislation.

We have Ukrainians across this country who came here following Russia's invasion on humanitarian parole. They have contributed to our communities in countless ways.

They entered the United States legally. They passed rigorous vetting. They have created lives here, and they have contributed in so many different ways to both our communities and our economy.

There are 45,000 Ukrainian-American businesses supporting 300,000 jobs, $60 billion in economic activity, and $8 billion to $9 billion in taxes paid each year. Yet, these individuals right now are in a state of legal uncertainty that creates various problems for their families and their ability to plan for the future.

This legislation will adjust their status to lawful permanent resident. It is the right thing to do for these individuals and their families. It is the right thing to do for our economy and communities across this country, and I urge immediate passage of this legislation.
