Mr. MANN. Mr. Speaker, I thank the gentlewoman from Minnesota for yielding.
Mr. Speaker, I rise today in strong support for year-round E15, this rule, and the Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act, which finally makes it a reality.
For too long, Washington has prevented Americans from having more choices at the pump. E15 is an available, affordable, American-made fuel that can help lower costs, strengthen our energy independence, and support the men and women who feed, fuel, and clothe the world.
This is exactly the kind of commonsense, all-of-the-above energy policy that House Republicans were elected to enact--one that embraces American resources, reduces our dependence on foreign oil, and trusts the American people to make their own decisions.
In the Big First District of Kansas, our farmers work hard every day to produce the feedstocks that power American ethanol. Year-round E15 is a win for those farmers, a win for consumers, and a win for American energy.
Mr. Speaker, I urge my colleagues to vote for H.R. 1346, this rule, and I support year-round E15.
