Ms. HOULAHAN. Mr. Speaker, I rise today, joined by my colleagues from the Pennsylvania delegation, to honor the life and the service of Corporal Timothy O'Connor, Jr., a Pennsylvania State trooper and a proud member of our Chester County community.
Corporal O'Connor wore the uniform of the Pennsylvania State Police for 15 years, serving the people of our Commonwealth. He was part of the brotherhood and sisterhood of troopers who run toward danger so that others can live in safety.
Two weekends ago, while conducting a traffic stop in the line of duty, Corporal O'Connor was tragically shot and killed.
Today we stand here together to honor his courage, his sacrifice, and his service. We hold his wife, Casey, their young daughter, and the entire Pennsylvania State Police family in our hearts.
Mr. Speaker, please do join us for a moment of silence to honor the life of Corporal Timothy O'Connor.
