House passes "aggressive, but practical" approach to cargo screening
U.S. Representative John Boozman (R-AR) today voted to strengthen security at United States ports.
"This bill ensures an aggressive, but practical approach to cargo screening. It is the right approach that will strengthen our security at our ports without weakening our economy," said Boozman.
H.R. 4954, the "Security and Accountability for Every Port Act (SAFE)," passed the U.S. House of Representatives today. The bill enhances security at U.S. ports, tracks & protects containers en route to the U.S. and prevents threats from reaching the U.S.
