Recognizing the 20th Anniversary of Pamper Me Pink

Ms. SPANBERGER. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor Pamper Me Pink on their 20th anniversary. Founded in 2004 by Sharon Welch Clark, Pamper Me Pink has grown into a partnership with UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center and has been instrumental in educating the community about cancer and the resources available to those contending with a diagnosis. Thousands of residents of Culpeper and surrounding communities have benefited from learning about cutting-edge technology, community resources, and support groups that provide assistance to patients and their families.

The Pamper Me Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Fund, a collaborative effort between Pamper Me Pink and UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center, has made a significant difference in Virginians' lives. This fund allows residents of Culpeper, Orange, Madison, and surrounding counties who lack medical insurance or cannot afford breast cancer screening to access a mammogram. The Pamper Me Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Fund has provided more than 700 mammograms, promoting preventive care and early detection. These efforts have saved countless lives.

Sharon Welch Clark has been the driving force behind this initiative for two decades, and I thank her for her partnership and her leadership. Her tireless efforts to support preventive care and community health have made a lasting impact not only on Culpeper, but on communities across our Commonwealth.

Mr. Speaker, I ask my colleagues to join me in recognizing Mrs. Sharon Welch Clark and Pamper Me Pink for 20 years of service to our community. Their dedication to education, preventive care, and support for patients and families in the fight against breast cancer is truly commendable. I extend my deepest gratitude and thanks to the Pamper Me Pink team as they continue this important--and critical--work.
