Recognizing May 2024 Constituent of the Month

BREAK IN TRANSCRIPT

Mr. LEVIN. Mr. Speaker, during Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, it is my great honor to recognize Shannalei Seau, a leading figure in our Oceanside community, as my Constituent of the Month for May 2024.

Ms. Seau serves on the Oceanside Parks and Recreation Commission. She is dedicated to fostering inclusive ways for residents and visitors to engage in our beautiful community.

Through her efforts on the Oceanside Parks and Recreation Commissions, she works to ensure that there are programs and activities for everyone in our community. She is not afraid to ask questions to ensure that Oceanside parks and facilities are not only safe, but also sanitary.

Ms. Seau collaborates with multiple key stakeholders, including community leaders and the Oceanside Police Department, and proactively engages with other agencies to seek where community members can take proactive action. She exemplifies what it means to be a community leader, and I especially commend her efforts within the AAPI community in Oceanside.

Ms. Seau's work to improve the lives of residents in my district is inspirational, and I am proud to honor her as my May 2024 Constituent of the Month.
