“We have yet another natural disaster impacting many vulnerable constituents. I am deeply saddened and express my condolences for the lives lost due to the impact of Hurricane Beryl. My thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones affected by this unfortunate devastation. While we can’t compensate for the loss of life, we can at least improve the quality of life for others. Together with Representative Garcia, we thank the Biden administration for assisting with emergency funds to facilitate the recovery and rebuilding efforts for the greater Houston area including our smaller cities and the surrounding counties impacted by this unfortunate event."
