Hoyer Hosts U.S. Academy and Military Career Forum

Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (D-MD) today hosted the 25th Annual U.S. Academy and Military Career Forum at the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro to give students from Maryland's 5th Congressional District an opportunity to learn more about an interesting and fulfilling career in the United States Military. The forum featured representatives of the U.S. Service Academies, local University ROTC Programs and Military Service Recruiters.

"I was pleased that so many students from the 5th Congressional District have an interest in taking advantage of a tremendous opportunity and learning about what it takes to attend one of our nation's fine military academies," said Congressman Hoyer. "Our nation has demanded a great sacrifice from our military men and women and it is reassuring to have met so many motivated young men and women who are eager to serve their country."
