“Bipartisanship is necessary to get anything accomplished in Washington. And right now, the most pressing item requiring a bipartisan effort is passing government funding bills for this fiscal year. I’m glad the Senate was able to come together to advance these bills, which will benefit families, communities, and the economy in Illinois. Now, we must roll-up our sleeves and pass the additional six government funding bills by the March 22 deadline.”
