"The summit today between the U.S., South Korea, and Japan is historic. This gathering at Camp David symbolizes a new era of engagement, cooperation, and stability in the Indo-Pacific. When I traveled to South Korea and Japan last year, I spoke with leaders from both countries and heard how they wanted to continue their strong relationship with America.

I commend both President Yoon and Prime Minister Kishida for agreeing to this summit, and I commend President Biden for pulling this summit together to build a strong, lasting, and secure future."
