"J Street understands the importance of a two-state solution for the Israeli and Palestinian people, and I hope that political leaders on both sides will find the political will to achieve this elusive yet critically important goal. As a longtime supporter of Israel, I am also concerned that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is dangerously putting his own narrow political and legal interests -- and those of the troubling extremists in his coalition -- ahead of the long term interests and needs of Israel's democracy."
