U.S. Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) issued the following statement on the Senate's passage of the "Inflation Reduction Act".
Rep. August Pfluger: "Senate Democrats just can't help but spend more American tax dollars for a grab bag of liberal priorities.
"Last year, Democrats gave the American people a $1,400 stimulus check that ended up costing every individual an extra $5,200 in inflation this year. Now, a new tax plan of $700 Billion comes in the middle of a recession. To implement it, the IRS will now have more agents than the FBI and the Border Patrol.
"The burden placed upon American energy producers, workers, manufacturers, and small businesses must end."
