Rep. Zeldin Statement on Biden's Border Crisis Now Overwhelming NYC Shelters

Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1) today issued the following statement in light of Mayor Eric Adams' announcement that New York City's shelters are being overrun with migrants, as a direct result of the Biden Administration's refusal to secure our nation's southern border:

"Border security needs to be massively ramped up. Catch and release must end. The Remain in Mexico policy must be enforced. Construction of the border wall must be completed. The Biden Administration needs to stop incentivizing and rewarding illegal entry, and their travel agency flying illegal immigrants across the country needs to be shut down.

"Kathy Hochul needs to come out of hiding on this, sound off, and take action to stop the influx of illegals into New York, which has included many secret dead of night flights into New York airports.

"The bottom line is that Joe Biden and Kathy Hochul are purposefully face planting on this issue. It's not pretty and the consequences are massive. Now, the burden is very predictably falling onto the laps of local municipalities."
