Laurel Lee today released the following statement, attributed to her, a Republican candidate for Florida Congressional District 15, regarding inflation increasing to 9.1% in June.

"This is one of the driving forces that led me to run for Congress. Today's news that inflation is at a 40-year high, increasing to 9.1% in June, is further proof that policies under Joe Biden are crippling the economy.

"Consumer confidence is plummeting and that is a direct result of the rising gas prices and the impact that has on nearly all goods and services we rely on every day.

"Families are struggling, and now, as we head toward the end of summer with back-to-school shopping for vital supplies on the horizon, families are feeling the impact of inflation and the effect it has on their family budgets."
