Laurel Lee today released the following statement, attributed to her, a Republican candidate for Florida Congressional District 15, regarding the recent United States Supreme Court decisions.

"I am a strong believer that the actual text of our Constitution is paramount in legal decisions.

"Over the last 48 hours, we've witnessed a U.S. Supreme Court that is respecting that principle. From protecting the very clearly spelled-out rights in the Second Amendment to correctly ruling that "It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people's elected representatives,' I am pleased this court is finally defending the Constitution as our founding fathers intended."
