"Today, our delegation was deeply honored to join @AlenSimonyan to lay a wreath at Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial and pray for the 1.5 million Armenian men, women, and children murdered in the genocide.

"The Congress is committed to always honoring our collective responsibility to uphold the memory of the dead, affirm the history of this tragedy, and ensure such a horror can never again happen.

"Last year, President Biden made history by becoming the first US President to formally recognize the genocide, following the House's 2019 passage of H.Res.296 to do so. We must never allow the truth of the genocide to be erased, especially as atrocities are perpetrated today."
