"Responsible dietary supplement manufacturers owe their customers honesty in their production & marketing. Since these supplements are rarely, if ever, tested by a federal agency, it is not too much to ask that their products be registered with FDA and their ingredients disclosed.

"The world of dietary supplements includes sources that have questionable production practices, make unproven claims of effectiveness, & refuse to disclose their ingredients. Responsible dietary supplement manufacturers need to speak up more for the integrity of their industry.

"If you believe dietary supplements are required by law to be tested for purity, safety, or effectiveness before they are sold in America, you are mistaken.
That's why I'm working to pass my bipartisan bill, which would require companies to register their products with FDA."
