SESSIONS ANNOUNCES $1.66 MILLION GRANT FOR DALLAS HURRICANE RELIEF REIMBURSEMENT

U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-Dallas) today announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded a $1,662, 424.11 Public Assistance grant to the State of Texas to reimburse the City of Dallas for costs it incurred sheltering of Hurricane Katrina evacuees at the Dallas Convention Center and Reunion Arena.
"When Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast, the City of Dallas was ready to lend in hand to support to the more than 2,500 people who were displaced by the storm's damage and sought shelter at the Dallas Convention Center and Reunion Arena," said Sessions. "With this grant, FEMA is providing our city with reimbursement to for services it provided to Katrina evacuees."
