Congressman Correa Urges Extension to Student Loan Pause

Today Rep. Lou Correa (CA-46) issued the following statement after co-signing a letter to President Biden and Secretary Cardona to make an extension to the current pause of federal student loans:

"Today I joined my colleagues in sending a letter to President Biden and Secretary Cardona urging for federal student loans to continue to be suspended. "Soon, millions of people across the United States will be required to start making payments on their remaining student loans. Without an extension, we are putting Americans in the impossible position of having to pick between paying for gas, groceries, and rent. As we, as a country, continue to navigate these unusual times, we must continue to put the needs of Americans first."
