Today, Congressman Lou Correa (CA-46) issued a statement following the Louisiana Judge ruling on Title 42:
"I am disheartened to hear that a federal judge has blocked the Biden administration from ending Title 42.
Title 42 is a health measure and it is being incorrectly used as an immigration and border control tool.
As a government, we need to do our job by:
1. Fixing our broken immigration system and implementing a meaningful reform with a pathway to citizenship
2. Fully funding and implementing asylum laws, including fully funding our refugees courts/processing legal system
3. Addressing the root causes of immigration in the American hemispheres, including violence and lack of economic opportunity in Central and South America"
