Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV), released the following statement commemorating the 10th anniversary of the creation of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and renewing her call for protecting Dreamers and passing comprehensive immigration reform that includes a path to citizenship.
"Thanks to DACA, hundreds of thousands of Dreamers in Nevada and across our country have been protected from deportation and given access to the American Dream in the only country they call home," said Senator Rosen. "DACA has enabled Nevadans to attend college, serve in our military, start families, and contribute to our great nation in countless ways. A decade later, it is shameful and unacceptable that so many DACA recipients continue to face uncertainty due to Congress' failure to pass comprehensive immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship. I'm committed to this fight and will keep demanding action in the Senate for Nevada's Dreamers."
