CONGRESSMAN THOMPSON ANNOUNCES COMPLETION OF EMMETT TILL INVESTIGATION

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) released the following statement:

"Today, I learned from the FBI [Federal Bureau of Investigation] that the federal investigation into the murder of Emmett Till has been concluded. The FBI has delivered its final report to the local District Attorney.

"I am hopeful that we are moving closer to a final resolution in this sad chapter in our history."
