"As co-chair of the Global Vaccination Caucus, it is gravely disappointing that the House is stripping $15B in COVID funding from the budget. The funds would be used to prepare for and prevent future variants and to help other countries vaccinate their populations. What should be a slam dunk for Democrats as the party of science and public health has become yet another intra-party battle -- and one that leaves the nation more vulnerable to future surges."
