Press Release

Date: March 16, 2022
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) released the following statement today after learning of the passing of former Nebraska Public Service Commissioner Frank Landis:

"Frank Landis began his distinguished career of public service when he joined the Nebraska Air National Guard, which he dutifully served in for 33 years. He went on to become a knowledgeable and conscientious PSC commissioner for 30 years. I worked with Frank on many issues when he was commissioner and always valued his insight and advice. For years, he was a wonderful member of my office's service academy board, helping to select the next generation of Nebraska nominees for our nation's five service academies.

"Frank was an exceptional Nebraskan. My sincere condolences are with the Landis family at this difficult time."
