Dear Chair Walker:
On September 27, 2021, we sent the Capitol Police Board (Board) a letter requesting that all uniformed U.S. Capitol Police officers be required to use body and dashboard cameras. We are deeply disappointed that the Board has not implemented this policy, or even had the courtesy to respond to our letter, despite repeated inquiries from our offices to the Board regarding the status of a response. We have enclosed the September 27, 2021, letter. We request a response to that letter by May 17, 2022.
