Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) has sponsored H.R. 6891, the Isolate Russian Government Officials Act.

The bill would exclude Russian government officials from attending prominent international meetings including:

The Spring Meetings and Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund.

Proceedings of the Group of 20, including Ministerial Meetings and Leader Summits.

Plenary meetings of the Financial Action Task Force.

Annual General Meetings of the Bank for International Settlements.

The bill was originally introduced by Rep. Ann Wagner (R-MO).

Rep. Budd said in a statement:

"The Russian government must pay a steep price for its unjust invasion of Ukraine. Isolating them from the world stage will send another clear and unmistakable message that this evil and thuggish behavior will not be tolerated. Big thanks to Rep. Wagner for leading such an important bill."
