Congresswoman Ross Announces 2022 Congressional Art Competition for Second District High School Students

Congresswoman Deborah Ross (NC-02) invites high school students from across North Carolina's Second District to participate in the annual Congressional Art Competition. The winner of the competition will have their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year along with artwork from students in all 50 states.

"The Congressional Art Competition is a wonderful tradition and opportunity to showcase the talents and abilities of young people across Wake County," said Congresswoman Ross. "It's critically important that we support arts education and provide outlets where our students can express their creativity. I look forward to seeing all of the incredible artwork Second District high schoolers submit, and I can't wait to see a piece of our community in the halls of the Capitol."

Students can submit entries and learn more about the art competition on Congresswoman Ross' website by clicking here. Entries can include paintings, drawings, collages, prints, mixed media, computer-generated, and photographic art. Artwork entered must be two-dimensional and no larger than 26 inches high, 26 inches wide, and 4 inches deep, not weighing more than 15 pounds. High school students in the Second District may submit up to two pieces per person.
