Today, U.S. Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) issued the following statement on the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.
"Today, Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson made history by becoming the first Black woman confirmed to the Supreme Court of the United States. Justice Jackson's extensive legal career -- including serving as a federal public defender, Vice Chair of the U.S. Sentencing Commission, and a D.C. Circuit Judge for the U.S. Court of Appeals -- has prepared her for this role. I am confident Justice Jackson has the judgment needed to serve the American people. With her historic confirmation, Justice Jackson is breaking barriers and inspiring people across the country. "
