Today, U.S. Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) visited students at the Tri-Valley Central School in Grahamsville, New York. Rep. Delgado toured the school and met with the students in the Civics and Social Justice class. Delgado spoke about his personal and professional experience with ensuring justice for all people and the importance of engaging in community as a means of bettering the lives of those around us.
"It was a pleasure speaking with the Tri-Valley Central Civics and Social Justice class today," said Rep. Delgado. "It is exciting and incredibly important when young folks meaningfully engage with issues that affect our communities and our world. I was glad to connect with the class and answer questions about my role in Congress and what justice means to me."
"We are grateful for the Congressman's visit today. We are very proud of the work that our students and staff are doing at Tri-Valley and I'm glad the Congressman got to see some of our amazing programs in action," said Teacher Matthew Haynes. "Specific to our Civics and Social Justice class, our students learned a great deal about his duties as a congressman as well as his inspiring life experiences. The fact that he took the time to answer their questions with thoughtful answers says a lot about the person he is. It was a wonderful day for our class and our school!"
