Congressman Kelly Armstrong (R-ND) released the following statement after voting against H.R. 4521, the America Concedes Act. This bill fails to hold China accountable, while harming America's competitive advantage.

"The majority of Americans agree that Congress needs to act and hold China accountable. This can be done in a smart, bipartisan way that doesn't harm American competitiveness," said Congressman Armstrong. "The Democrats' nearly 3,000-page partisan bill does nothing to hold China accountable for its predatory trade practices. Instead, it harms America's competitive advantage by enshrining harmful Green New Deal provisions, makes it harder for American companies to compete and win, and includes billions in new permanent tax subsidies for favored corporations, while imposing more Washington control over others."
