Rep. Ted Budd Amendment Would Require Intelligence Report on Russia-China Coordination

Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) has proposed an amendment to the America COMPETES Act that would require the Director of National Intelligence and the State Department to submit a report to Congress on the degree to which Russia and China have been coordinating regarding an invasion of Ukraine, and specifically focusing on any efforts to evade financial, technological, and energy sanctions.

Rep. Budd said in a statement:
"The prospect of the Chinese Communist Party aiding Russian aggression is something that should be thoroughly investigated. If the CCP and Russia are coordinating in any way, the intelligence community needs to find out and properly inform Congress."
