Wilson Responds to Biden's Comments on Russia's Aggressive Posture at Ukraine's Border

Congressman Joe Wilson, Republican Study Committee National Security & Foreign Affairs Task Force Chairman, issued the following statement regarding President Biden's weak remarks yesterday.

"The President's tragic misstatement yesterday appearing to condone a "minor incursion" by Putin, which would lead to a mass murder of Ukrainians, now calls for action of deterrence to promote peace through strength.

"The most advanced anti-tank, anti-aircraft, and anti-ship missiles should be rushed to Ukraine.

"It should be clear and uncontroverted that any hostile action in Ukraine would impose immediate sanctions to terminate Nord Stream 2 and permanently limit Putin's ability to wage war by fiscal constraint.

"I implore the President to act swiftly to prevent a catastrophic invasion which would be disastrous for the wonderful people of both Ukraine and Russia."
