The 6888th Battalion has inspired generations of Americans. Battling prejudice and the hardships of war alike, the unit sorted millions of pieces of mail to ensure that Servicemembers received letters from their loved ones.
After decades of little recognition, this act will properly recognize the 6888th's heroism. I was proud to stand with Representatives @RepGwenMoore, @RepBarbaraLee and @RepBeatty in honoring these American patriots."
