U.S. Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Rick Scott (R-FL) urged President Joe Biden to approve Governor Ron DeSantis' request for a major disaster declaration to be issued for Charlotte and Lee Counties as a result of a severe weather system last week. The storm produced two tornadoes of EF-1 and EF-2 strengths. The request also includes a request for Individual Assistance for the two Florida counties.
