Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) today announced that the USDA Rural Development Agency has awarded $204,161 in federal grants to a local farm in Westminster and two entrepreneurship centers on the Eastern Shore. Specific funding allocations can be found below:
Willet Family Farm, Westminster; $49,993 for the expansion and packaging enhancement associated with the farm's local free range egg production
Maryland Capital Enterprises, Salisbury; $131,687 to provide business based training and technical assistance to rural microenterprises and microentrepreneurs
Eastern Shore Entrepreneurship Center, Easton; $22,481 to provide business based training and technical assistance to rural microenterprises and microentrepreneurs
Congressman Harris issued the following statement:
