Following the passage of S.J.Res.33, an increase to the federal debt ceiling, U.S. Representative Glenn "GT" Thompson issued the following statement:

"Democrats continue to prove that they are incapable of bringing fiscally prudent solutions to the table to address the growing national debt. Increasing the debt ceiling to an astronomical level of nearly $31 trillion will hurt future generations. For these reasons, I could not support this legislation."
