Today Representatives Lou Correa (CA-46) issued the following statement:
Rep. Lou Correa said. "I applaud the Biden Administration's decision to release oil from the nation's Strategic Petroleum Reserve in concert with other nations such as India, South Korea, and Japan.
My hardworking constituents cannot afford to pay high gasoline prices, rent, and groceries. They should not be forced to choose between paying for gasoline to drive to work or their rent.
America must be energy independent. Historically, OPEC's squeeze on the world's energy market has been responsible for worldwide recessions. We must continue to support the economy as it recovers from COVID."
