MATSUI, SACRAMENTO COUNTY AIRPORT SYSTEM ANNOUNCE SMF TO RECEIVE NEARLY $14 MILLION IN FUNDING FROM BIPARTISAN INFRASTRUCTURE LAW

Today, Congresswoman Doris Matsui (CA-06) and the Sacramento County Airport System announced that Sacramento International Airport (SMF) will soon receive nearly $13.97 million from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) under the historic and bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

"As we fight back from this pandemic and continue our economic recovery, the Sacramento County Airport System is a critical gateway to our region and beyond," said Congresswoman Matsui. "As tourism regains momentum and we see a resurgence in passengers, we must make sure that our airport has the tools to continue to thrive well into the future. I am proud to advocate for robust funding for our airport system and I thank Cindy Nichol and the entire Sacramento County Airport System staff for their tireless work for the Sacramento community."
