McBath Announces Over $73 Million in New Funding for Georgia from Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

Today, Congresswoman Lucy McBath announced that, thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the state of Georgia will receive $73,664,000 in funding for a wide variety of infrastructure projects through the Army Corps of Engineers. Across the state, these millions of dollars will go towards such projects as lake and dam maintenance, environmental sewer updates, and harbor expansion in the port of Savannah.

"I am thrilled that this funding will bring much-needed investments to Georgia and provide economic growth and job opportunities to our state," McBath said. "These investments from the Army Corps of Engineers will bring our lakes, dams, and harbors into the 21st century and provide critical safety and environmental updates to these essential resources in our state. By funding these projects, we are improving the health and wellbeing of our communities, strengthening our supply chains, and growing our economy to stay competitive in America and around the globe."
