Today, U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell (AL-07) joined Martin Luther King III and his family in Washington D.C. as they marched across the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge for the annual D.C. Peace Walk. She then spoke at a "Deliver for Voting Rights" rally with the King family, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Congressional Black Caucus Chairwoman Joyce Beatty, and others to call on the Senate to reform its rules and pass the Freedom to Vote Act and the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. A vote on these bills is expected in the U.S. Senate on Tuesday.
