Today, Congresswoman Sylvia R. Garcia (TX-29) issued the following statement on the court-ordered reimplementation of the Remain in Mexico policy:

"Our immigration system is broken. People are suffering. Families are suffering. The Remain in Mexico policy has hurt thousands of immigrants and refugees and tarnished what our country stands for," said Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia (TX-29). "We need to stand by our immigrants and asylum seekers and while the Biden-Harris administration is complying with the court ruling by reimplementing the policy, I hope it will work quickly to fast track litigation and undo the damage being done by this terrible situation."
