Today, Members of the United States House of Representatives, the European Parliament, and the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada issued a rare joint statement regarding the continued security threat at the Ukrainian border posed by Russia.

"As members of the United States House Foreign Affairs Committee, the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs, and the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation we strongly condemn the Putin regime's destabilizing military buildup on Ukraine's border. Over the course of the past thirty years since Ukrainian independence, we have worked to strengthen the bonds that unite us, fight back against shared threats, and support Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic ambitions. Together, we pledge to continue to strongly support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. We call for a swift, unified, and decisive transatlantic response that includes a credible sanctions threat and additional security assistance to deter Russia from escalating its aggression against Ukraine."
