Neal Statement on Passage of Continuing Resolution

Statement

Date: Dec. 2, 2021
Location: Washington, DC

Today, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) released the following statement after the House passed a Continuing Resolution to fund the government through February 18, 2022:

"Republicans once again stymied our ability to pass a long-term funding bill, so today's legislation is merely a stopgap measure. While the Senate GOP threatens to shut down the government in protest of President Biden's efforts to protect Americans from dying of COVID-19, we will continue to work toward an omnibus funding agreement."
