"Georgia and the entire country lost one of its most beloved public servants today. For decades, Johnny Isakson fought for the people of Georgia in the House and Senate. Johnny led by example. He brought people together to solve the tough challenges facing our country.

We were all inspired by Johnny's courage while he fought Parkinson's disease. When he left office in 2019, his service continued through the Isakson Initiative. His foundation is transforming medical research and continuing Johnny's mission or getting more cures to patients.

I had the honor of serving for more than ten years in the Senate with Johnny. It was a privilege to know him and to count him as a friend. Bobbi and I send our condolences to his wife Dianne and their entire family."
