Proclamation - Pride of Dakota Month

WHEREAS, North Dakota is a leader in the production of quality agriculture and homecrafted products for the United States and the world, and the Pride of Dakota program serves as an important marketing tool for North Dakota companies who are competing in a global market; and

WHEREAS, Pride of Dakota is celebrating 21 years of helping North Dakota businesses develop and expand domestic and foreign markets for their products; and

WHEREAS, the Pride of Dakota program has more than 400 active and associate members that are competing in the global marketplace and making important contributions to North Dakota's economy; and

WHEREAS, all North Dakotans are encouraged to recognize the state's food industry and to show their pride in and appreciation for those who produce and process the food we eat; and

WHEREAS, on March 28, schools statewide will participate in Pride of Dakota School Lunch Day by featuring North Dakota grown and processed foods on their lunch menus.
