U.S. Senator Deb Fischer released the following statement after learning of the passing of Jean Rounds.:

"I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Jean Rounds, the former First Lady of South Dakota. Jean was an incredible woman who was wholeheartedly committed to helping the people of her state. Bruce and I are praying for Senator Mike Rounds and his family as they mourn this heartbreaking loss."
