Senator John Hoeven helped introduce bicameral legislation, led in the Senate by Senator Mike Braun (R-Ind.), to disapprove and nullify President Biden's vaccine mandate on private employees under the Congressional Review Act (CRA), the official process for Congress to eliminate an executive branch rule. President Biden's mandate requires employees at private businesses with more than 100 employees to be vaccinated or tested on a weekly basis. The rule is estimated to affect more than 80 million Americans and imposes $14,000 fines for persons who do not comply.

"President Biden's vaccine mandate is government overreach," said Hoeven. "Our nation is already facing a workforce shortage, and this mandate will exacerbate this situation while also infringing on the rights of Americans."
