Statement of the Hon. Rosa L. DeLauro Strike to Begin at Sikorsky Aircraft
STRATFORD, Conn. - Congresswoman Rosa L. DeLauro (Conn.-3) today issued the following statement upon learning that workers at Sikorsky Aircraft would soon strike.
"I am deeply disappointed to learn that despite negotiations by union and company officials, a compromise was not reached and Sikorsky workers are now on strike.
"Sikorsky workers are some of the most skilled workers in the country. With significant increases in defense spending headed Sikorsky's way this year, I hope that all parties will come back to the table to resolve this dispute and agree upon a new contract."
