Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman Gregory W. Meeks (NY-05) released the following statement on the swearing in of Governor Kathy Hochul:

"I congratulate Governor Hochul on being sworn in today as the 57th Governor of New York. Today is a very historic day as we welcome New York's first woman governor.

"We are still in a very critical position as we work to rebuild our economy and fight COVID-19 and Governor Hochul has hit the ground running. I look forward to our continued work together."
